25 YEARS OF ROSSMORE POTTERY CELEBRATION EXHIBITION

Husband and wife team Jim Turner and Etain Hickey celebrate 25 years of Rossmore Pottery this year. They are kicking off with an exhibition of their Ceramics which opens on 19 July and runs for a month in Clonakilty at Etain Hickey Collections, Clonakilty. Not many couples survive working together for so long but you can see the fruits of their partnership as they show both new, and a selection of their different work over the years, from domestic tableware, raku planters, Jim’s sculptural ceramics and Etain's lustred women’s heads.
In December they will have an extensive solo show of their new work at Keane on Ceramics, Kinsale.

It’s a busy year for Turner; he will be leading an International Ceramic Workshop in Thomastown for Ceramics Ireland in September where there will be a chance to see some more new work.

With his vast experience of production and teaching, future plans are for expanding his short pottery courses which are run at their well equipped studio at Rossmore. This year the Raku firings have been a great hit with students.
